An information storage device using magnetic domain wall movement and an operating method thereof are provided to reduce the misalignment by making storage tracks, non-magnetic conductive layers, and a ferromagnetic fixing layer intersect with each other. An information storage device using magnetic domain wall movement comprises storage tracks(300a,300b) having a magnetic domain wall(DW), and a writing unit for recording information on the storage tracks, and a reading unit for reproducing information recorded on the storage tracks. The reading unit consists of non-magnetic conductive layers(400) intersecting with the storage tracks, and a ferromagnetic fixing layer(500). The ferromagnetic fixing layer, separated from the storage tracks in the longitudinal direction of the non-magnetic conductive layers, covers portions of the non-magnetic conductive layers. The non-magnetic conductive layers are formed on the upper or lower surface of the storage tracks. The ferromagnetic fixing layer is formed on the upper or lower surface of the non-magnetic conductive layers. |
