<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a powder cosmetic having a high protecting effect against UV-A, high retaining property of cosmetic effects and excellent usability. <P>SOLUTION: The powder cosmetic includes (a) a UV absorbent that absorbs UV rays in a UV-A region, (b) dimethicone, (c) phenyl modified dimethicone, and (d) a methoxy cinnamate ester in the oil phase of the cosmetic.
