<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating apparatus for a functional sheet excellent in linearity of coating starting and finishing ends during intermittent coating concerning the coating apparatus for coating a coating material on a base using the coating material dispersing a functional powder in a solvent for obtaining the functional sheet. <P>SOLUTION: The coating apparatus includes a stepped roll 8 for removing a part of a coating film 6 formed on a surface of one roll 2 before the coating film passes through the gap with the other roll 3. The stepped roll includes a recessed part 8a formed on the surface thereof and a blade 8b disposed at least along the rear end 8c of the recessed part. The recessed part contacts to the coating film 6 formed on the surface of the one roll 2 to remove the coating film of the contacting part from the surface of the one roll, and the blade 8b has a blade edge thereof facing a radial direction of the stepped roll and advanceable/retreatable to the radial direction of the stepped roll so that the blade edge protrudes from the recessed part at least when the contact of the recessed part 8a with the coating film is terminated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
