<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively reduce a toner consumption amount upon printing even if an image has a comparatively high area rate of a foreground. <P>SOLUTION: A background color lightening processing for lightening a tint of a background image is performed on background data in JPM image data including background data expressing the background image (photograph image of a bus, for example); foreground data expressing a foreground image showing rough color and shape of a foreground positioned in front of the background; and mask data (character string of bus, for example) expressing a mask image showing which region among whole regions of the foreground image is to be overlapped with the background image.
