<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform efficient valve cooling by making circulation of engine oil in a valve good, and controlling heat exchange of the engine oil before and after valve cooling in a valve cooling device of an internal combustion engine. <P>SOLUTION: In the valve stem 22 of an exhaust valve 8, an oil introduction path 37 opening one end in a stem extension direction by being extended in parallel to the valve stem 22, and an oil lead out path 38 extending in parallel to the valve stem 22 and communicating its one end with the other end of the oil introduction path 37 in a valve umbrella part 21 are formed. There is provided a jet part 41 having a jet oil path 43 arranged in the form of the same axis of the oil introduction path 37 in the stem extension direction of the valve stem 22.
