COATING MATERIAL COMPOSITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating material composition capable of forming a coating film having excellent heat resistance.

SOLUTION: The coating material composition contains a synthetic resin binder and 2-20 mass% polyvinyl alcohol and/or the derivative in the total amount of the synthetic resin binder. It is particularly preferable to contain a synthetic resin emulsion as the synthetic resin binder and to contain 70 mass% or more of nonvolatile portion of the synthetic emulsion in the total amount of the synthetic resin binder.
