The invention relates to chemistry and medicine, in particular to biologically active polynuclear coordinative compounds of copper from the class of thiosemicarbazonates of transition metals.Summary of the invention consists in the synthesis of a new compound tris{µ-[3,5-dibromo-2-hydroxybenzylidene-4′-(pyridin-2-yl)-thiosemicarbazido(2-)]copper}hydrate of the formula:The compound exhibits antifungal activity against Candida albicans and can be used in medicine and veterinary medicine for the prevention and treatment of mycoses.
