Oil-in-water emulsion composition and method for producing the same

Disclosed is an oil-in-water emulsion composition containing an oil-soluble agent stably blended therein and having excellent feeling of use. Also disclosed is a method for producing such an oil-in-water emulsion composition, which does not require complicated operations. Specifically disclosed is an oil-in-water emulsion composition characterized by containing a polyoxyethylene phytosterol (A), a glycerol fatty acid diester (B), a polyoxyethylene-polyoxypropylene random copolymer dialkyl ether (C), an oil-soluble agent (D), an oil content (E) and water (F). The oil-in-water emulsion composition is also characterized in that a lamellar gel structure composed of the component (A) and the component (B) is present within an emulsion particle.
