<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress deterioration in processing efficiency of a fixing process that may arise with a temperature decrease of a fixing member for fixing an image to a recording material and to suppress deterioration in processing efficiency of a heating process that may arise with a temperature decrease of a supply member for supplying a heating object with heat. <P>SOLUTION: When a power is applied, a fixing belt 102 rotates. At that time, a temperature-sensitive magnetic member 114 is separated from the fixing belt 102. Then, an alternating current is supplied to an exciting coil 110 and the fixing belt 102 is heated. After that, paper P is fed and a toner image is fixed to the paper P. With the temperature rise of the temperature-sensitive magnetic member 114, the temperature of a deformation member 260 is raised and the deformation member 260 is extended. By the extension, the temperature-sensitive magnetic member 114 comes into contact with the fixing belt 102.
