<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a secondary battery. <P>SOLUTION: A secondary battery includes: a first electrode plate constituted by an active material part, in which a substrate is coated with an active material, and a first plain part; a second electrode plate laminated on the first electrode plate, and constituted by an active material part, in which substrate is coated with the active material, and a second plain part; and a separator interposed between the first electrode plate and the second electrode plate. The first plain part includes an electrode assembly with a ceramic layer at a portion corresponding to the second electrode plate.
