<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas diffusion layer which can achieve both of dry-out resistance and flooding resistance of a gas diffusion layer normally in a trade-off relation to each other and contributes to performance improvement of a solid polymer fuel cell, and to provide a membrane electrode assembly for a fuel cell using such a gas diffusion layer. <P>SOLUTION: A gas diffusion layer 30 is formed by forming a micro-porous layer 32 of a two-layer structure having a first micro-porous layer 33 containing a granular carbon material and a second micro-porous layer 34 containing flaky graphite on a gas diffusion layer base material 31. Then, a membrane electrode assembly 1 is formed by laminating this gas diffusion layer 30 on both surfaces of an electrolyte membrane 10 via a catalyst layer 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
