<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a friction member which has a simple constitution and which restrains frictional heat, generated in a friction material, from being transferred via a support plate, and a method of manufacturing the friction member. <P>SOLUTION: The friction member 1 having the friction material 10 supported by the support plate 30 includes a graphitic sheet 21 interposed between the friction material and the support plate. In the method of manufacturing the friction member 1, a laminate is formed by sandwiching the graphitic sheet 21 between the support plate 30 and an unsintered body turned into the friction material 10 by being sintered, and burned while being pressurized. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
