<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve pass-through printing in a printing system which is configured to handle, in a fixed format, all print data generated by a printer driver. <P>SOLUTION: An information processing device includes: a printer driver for a printing apparatus which supports a first data format; and an application which generates data according to a data format supported by the printing apparatus. The information processing device includes: determination means which determines whether or not the printing apparatus supports a second data format; and transmission means which enables, if the determination means determines the second data format is supported, data in the second data format containing data in the first data format and being generated by the application to be transmitted to the printing apparatus without conversion, and which enables, if the determination means determines the second data format is not supported, data in the second data format generated by the application to be converted into the first data format and transmitted to the printing apparatus. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
