<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of reducing the number of elements and the limitation on the selection of components. <P>SOLUTION: An imaging device comprises: a solid-state imaging device configured such that unnecessary charge stored in a charge storage portion can be swept out, depending on shutter drive pulse voltages, to a semiconductor substrate having a first polarity; a pulse drive portion for outputting drive pulses to drive the solid-state imaging device; and a protection portion which is placed in a wiring system for shutter drive pulses between the pulse drive portion and the solid-state imaging device, and protects the solid-state imaging device from damage and deterioration. The protection portion includes: a capacitor connected between the output end for shutter drive pulses from the pulse drive portion and the substrate voltage terminal of the solid-state imaging device; a diode connected between a predetermined potential point and the substrate voltage terminal; and a clamp circuit comprised of a resistor element connected between the substrate voltage terminal and a reference potential point. An anode end of the diode is connected to the predetermined potential point to which a potential corresponding to a rated voltage at the substrate voltage terminal is applied. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
