<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method that can form a uniform thin layer by using small amount of pre-treatment agent even if an impermeable recording medium comprising a polyolefin resin having a low wetting tension is used, and to provide an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: In the image forming method, the pre-treatment agent containing an active energy ray-curable material is applied to a surface of the recording medium, thereafter discharge treatment is applied to the applied surface, and subsequently, ink including the active energy ray-curable material and a coloring agent is ejected to the pre-treatment agent that has not been cured by inkjet method, so that an image is formed, and moreover, the pre-treatment agent and the ink are cured by the irradiation of the active energy-ray. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
