<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst which exhibits a good acrylonitrile selectivity in an ammoxidation reaction of propylene. <P>SOLUTION: There are provided an ammoxidation catalyst used in the ammoxidation of propylene and consists essentially of molybdenum, bismuth and iron, and in which the rate of metal oxide particles of a cross-sectional area of 10,000 nm<SP POS="POST">2</SP>or less is 90% or more; and a method for producing the catalyst in which a precursor slurry therefor contains a coordinatable organic compound in an amount which is 1 mol eq. or more with respect to the iron and is 0.1 mol eq. or more with respect to the total sum of the metallic elements. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
