<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to scan a printed multiple-page document and reproduce an original table as an electronic document even when the table is printed in a manner segmented into the pages. <P>SOLUTION: A table area extraction part 42 extracts images of table areas from respective pages of image data consisting of multiple pages scanned by a scanner 16. A table structure data generation part 43 generates table structure data on the tables from the respective extracted images of the table areas. A table connectivity determination part 45 determines table-to-table connectibility on the basis of the table structure data that is generated by the table structure data generation part 43 with respect to the tables in the respective pages. A table data reproduction part 44 determines a connection order for reproducing an original table by connecting the table to each other, on the basis of the table-to-table connectibility that is determined by the table connectivity determination part 45, connects the table to each other on the basis of the determined connection order, and reproduces one table data before segmentation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
