<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera system capable of adding a function to a camera unit without a burden on a user. <P>SOLUTION: A camera system includes: a first nonvolatile memory 62 for storing a first body control program for controlling the operation of a body in a first area thereof; a CPU 42; first program transmission means 85 for transmitting a second body control program and a second camera unit control program for controlling the operation of a camera unit from a second nonvolatile memory 43 storing both programs therein to the camera unit, the versions of both programs adjusted; program recording means 87 for storing the second body control program in a second area; and program update means 81 for updating the previously stored first camera unit control program by the second camera unit control program. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
