<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink cartridge which is configured to prevent ink retained in a connection section from scattering outside in the case where the ink cartridge is detached from a cartridge holder of a printer body. <P>SOLUTION: When a second cylindrical section 38 of a second connection unit 11 is pushed into a first cylindrical section 16 of a first connection unit 15 in order to connect them to each other, an inner peripheral protrusion 36 of a sliding member 23 of the first connection unit 15 is engaged with an outer peripheral groove 32 of a shaft member 18 to be slid, and the sliding member 23 is rotated. Then, a movable opening 22 is moved from an upper first position to a lower second position, and thereby a first ink channel 25 of the first connection unit 15 is coupled to a second ink channel 42 of the second connection unit 11. When the second cylindrical section 38 is pulled out of the first cylindrical section 16 in order to release the connection, the sliding member 23 is moved along the shaft member 18 in a direction opposite to the direction, and thereby the movable opening 22 is moved from the second position to the first position so that the first ink channel 25 is shut off from the second ink channel 42. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
