<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reversible fuel battery and a battery module, capable of storing electric energy supplied upon over-charge as a gas and re-converting the gas into the electric energy for use, and excellent in energy utilization efficiency, energy density and load followability. <P>SOLUTION: A reversible fuel battery has a negative electrode 94 containing a hydrogen-storing alloy and a positive electrode 96 containing manganese dioxide, in which there are provided a hydrogen gas storage chamber 88 and an oxygen gas storage chamber 88 for storing a hydrogen gas generated at the negative electrode and an oxygen gas generated at the positive electrode, respectively, independently of each other, by using a separator 95 which intervenes between the negative electrode and the positive electrode and is formed of hollow fibers letting protons through, but not letting electrons through. Then, the hydrogen gas and oxygen gas stored in the hydrogen gas storage chamber and oxygen storage chamber charge the negative electrode and positive electrode, respectively. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
