<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic motor in which simplification of its structure and high output torque is materialized. <P>SOLUTION: This ultrasonic motor includes a piezoelectric transducer 40 in which its cross section perpendicular to the center axis has a rectangular shape, the ratio of a short side to a long side composing the rectangular shape is set at a prescribed value, longitudinal vibration expanding and contracting in the center axis direction and torsional vibration having the center axis as an axis of torsion are simultaneously excited, and elliptical vibration is thereby excited; a friction contactor 41-1 provided on one end face in the longitudinal direction of the piezoelectric transducer 40; a friction contactor 41-2 provided on the other end face in the longitudinal direction of the piezoelectric transducer 40; a first rotor mechanism part 10-1 held in a pressed state against the friction contactor 41-1; a second rotor mechanism part 10-2 held in a pressed state against the friction contactor 41-2; and an output shaft 60 driven by movement of the first rotor mechanism part 10-1 and the second rotor mechanism part 10-2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
