<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper cutting device, cutting well and highly accurately cutting a paper sheet. <P>SOLUTION: The paper cutting device which cuts roll paper includes: a carrying passage guiding a drawn roll paper; a pair of plate-like cutting blades wider than the roll paper and disposed to sandwich the roll paper therebetween on both sides in a thickness direction of the roll paper moving along the carrying passage; a base having hollow structure constituted of a pair of opposed side walls and connecting walls connecting between the side walls, including an installation face disposed to a surface of the side wall so that one of the cutting blades is installed thereto, and movably disposed in the thickness direction of the roll paper, wherein the cutting blade is installed to the installation face; and a drive mechanism moving the base in the thickness direction of the roll paper to press the cutting blade provided to the base against the roll paper before a cutting edge of the other cutting blade so that the roll paper is cut by the one cutting blade and the other cutting blade. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
