PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To notify a user whether a display surface is needed to be cleaned, while displaying an image.

SOLUTION: An MFP includes: an LCD for displaying an image; a touch panel provided on the LCD to detect a position specified in the display surface; an instruction detection part 51 for detecting an instruction operation when the position detected by the touch panel satisfies a first detection condition; a use counting part 53 for counting the number of uses; a wipe-off operation detection part 59 for detecting wipe-off operation when the position detected by the touch panel satisfies a second detection condition; a wipe-off operation counting part 61 for counting the number of wipe-off operations; and a mode switching part 55 for setting the LCD to a normal display mode or a cleaning mode different in image display condition from the normal display mode, on the basis of the number of instructions and the number of wipe-off operations.
