<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a differential device which is suppressed in an increase in the number of components thereof and enlargement thereof, and achieves an increased differential limit force. <P>SOLUTION: The differential device 1 includes: a pair of side gears 21 and 22; a pair of pinion gears 31 and 32 which are meshed with the pair of side gears 21 and 22 while a rotational axis O<SB POS="POST">2</SB>of the pinion gears is orthogonal to a rotational axis O<SB POS="POST">1</SB>of the side gears and which have through-holes 310 and 320 along the rotational axis O<SB POS="POST">2</SB>respectively; and a support member 4 which is in contact with the inner surfaces of the through-holes 310 and 320 of the pinion gears 31 and 32 and supports the pinion gears 31 and 32 rotatably. The contact surface of each ot the pinion gears 31 and 32 with the support member 4 in the inner surfaces of the throough-holes 310 and 320 has a first contact area and a second contact area larger in diameter than the first contact area. The second contact area is formed, with a noncontact area not in contact with the support member with the first contact area interposed between the first and the second contact areas, closer to the outside in a diameter direction with respect to the rotational axis O<SB POS="POST">1</SB>of the pair of side gears 21 and 22 than the first contact area. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
