<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separator for a nonaqueous electrolytic electricity storage device including an improved epoxy resin porous membrane. <P>SOLUTION: In a separator for a nonaqueous electrolytic electricity storage device, a ratio I/Io between a peak intensity Io of an absorption peak existing at 1,240 cm<SP POS="POST">-1</SP>in an infrared absorption spectrum of an epoxy resin porous membrane and a peak intensity I of a peak existing at 1,240 cm<SP POS="POST">-1</SP>in the infrared absorption spectrum of the epoxy resin porous membrane after the porous membrane has been subjected to acetic anhydride treatment is 1.0 or more and 2.4 or less.
