The invention relates to an appliance, of the "contractors' equipment" range, termed a lift, intended to be used in constructable locations of land which has an accentuated slope which may reach 50 degrees to the horizontal. Since these significant slopes render difficult the construction operations, and then the conditions of use, the lift may be used by the constructors as contractors' equipment of a temporary nature, or for the users, as access equipment. For the latter, and in the case of the transportation of individuals, the type of construction offered is supplemented on request by safety features and comfort elements (barriers, rails, protection against inclement weather). <IMAGE>
