PURPOSE: An image display system with an on screen display function is provided to eliminate a need of an additional non volatile memory for saving an image for an on screen display. CONSTITUTION: An MCU(Micro Controller Unit)(11) stores pixel data of a bitmap image for an on screen display in a user program area. A register(12) successively receives pixel data of the bitmap image from the MCU. A level checking unit(143) checks that pixel data of a bitmap image inputted to the register are updated. A volatile memory(13) stores updated pixel data. An image combining unit(142) combines the pixel data with a background image. |
