<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform processing at high speed by generating a high-frequency reduced image by applying a spatial filter to an image obtained by reducing an input image and enlarging the image after application in an image processing device and method for reducing a high frequency component of a background area in an image. <P>SOLUTION: At this time, in reduction and in application of a spatial filter, processing is performed with a high regard for the pixel value of a background pixel among processing target pixels, thereby preventing a color tint of a foreground area from remaining in a background area in a high-frequency reduced image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
