<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device capable of suppressing deterioration in display quality. <P>SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display device comprises: a first substrate including a main pixel electrode having a first width in a first direction and extending in a second direction that is orthogonal to the first direction, a sub-pixel electrode having a first edge and a second edge facing each other at a second width larger than the first width in the first direction and electrically connected to the main pixel electrode, first main common electrodes extending in the second direction at both sides with the main pixel electrode held therebetween and disconnected at a position facing at least one of the first edge and the second edge, and a first sub-common pixel extending in the first direction and electrically connected to the first main common electrode; a second substrate including a second main common electrode facing the first main common electrode, extending in the second direction, and electrically connected to the first main common electrode; and a liquid crystal layer held between the first substrate and the second substrate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
