<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate or reduce drift of electricity within a demineralization chamber. <P>SOLUTION: The electric deionized water producing apparatus includes: a demineralization treatment unit composed of a pair of condensation chambers C1, C2 and a demineralization chamber D disposed between the condensation chambers C1, C2. The demineralization chamber D is partitioned, by an ion exchange membrane c2, a first small demineralization chamber D1 adjacent to the concentration chamber C1 and a second small demineralization chamber D2 adjacent to the concentration chamber C2. A cation exchanger K is filled in the first small demineralization chamber D1, and a layer of an anion exchanger A and a layer of the cation exchanger K are provided within the second small demineralization chamber D2 in an order such that a layer of an ion exchanger through which treatment object water is passed first is the layer of the anion exchanger. A bipolar membrane BP is disposed on the negative electrode side of the layer of the anion exchanger A within the demineralization chamber D2 in such a manner that an anion exchange membrane 2 of the bipolar membrane is opposed to the layer of the anion exchanger A. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
