摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress increase of coarse particles caused by toner coalescence, apply uniform heat treatment and enable stable production. <P>SOLUTION: Thermal treatment equipment for heat-treating powder particles including a binder resin and a coloring agent, comprises: powder particle supply means 3 for supplying the powder particles to a cylindrical processing chamber; hot wind supply means 2 for heat-treating the powder particles; cool wind supply means 4 for cooling the heat-treated powder particles; regulation means 6 for regulating a flow of the powder particles; and collecting means 5 for collecting the heat-treated powder particles. In an inner wall of the processing chamber, a protrusion of 2 mm or higher and 50 mm or lower is formed, in an area on a downstream side of the powder particle supply means and on an upstream side of the cool wind supply means. With regard to a cross section of the processing chamber perpendicular to the central axis inside the area where the protrusion is formed, if the maximum value of a distance of a clearance of the processing chamber and the columnar member in the cross section is Dmax, and the minimum value of the distance of the clearance in the cross section is Dmin, the thermal treatment equipment has a cross section of proportion (Dmin/Dmax) 0.50 or more and less than 1.00. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
