CASSEGRAIN RADAR ANTENNA

A Cassegrain radar antenna comprising a feed (10) and a metamaterial panel (20 and 20'). The metamaterial panel (20 and 20') comprises multiple core layers (210 and 210') having identical refractive indexes. Each core layer (210 and 210') consists of multiple metamaterial units. The metamaterial units comprise artificial metal microstructures (212) and unit substrates (211), or, the metamaterial units comprise unit substrates (211') having arranged thereon one or multiple artificial pore structures (212'). By changing the pattern of refractive index distribution within the metamaterial panel, the radar antenna improves antenna far-field power and improves antenna transmission distance.
