The protective device has a cassette case in which a flexible sheet material (F) is mounted on a winding shaft. The cassette case has an end flap (3) with two opposite end regions. The bow-shaped extension units (4) are provided at bottom of opposite end regions relative to a central longitudinal axis of cassette housing. The bow-shaped extension units are aligned with retaining section of a retention unit (5) that is positioned on a receiving portion (7) of a holding receptacle (1) of vehicle.
