The helmet has shock absorbing material (2) arranged at an interior of the helmet. An electro-acoustic transducer (6) is firmly fixed to a baffle (3) in which the shock absorbing material is connected such that the electro-acoustic transducer is provided in an opening (9) of the baffle. The baffle is arranged on the inside of the protective helmet facing side of the shock-absorbing material. A recess is provided in the shock-absorbing material at a backside of the electro-acoustic transducer, and void volume is formed after the transducer.
