PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing instruction device capable of configuring a printing setting with an intuitive operation on a touch panel to a printing image.

SOLUTION: The printing instruction device having a touch panel includes: a display section that displays a printing image of a master as a printing object; an input information analysis section that analyzes signals output from the touch panel disposed on the display section to identify a predetermined operation made on a predetermined area of the printing image on the touch panel; a storage that stores a piece of link information for linking the operation made on the touch panel for each area associated with the printing image and printing setting prescribing printing conditions or finishing conditions of the master; a printing setting management section that refers to the linking information to identify the printing setting corresponding to the predetermined operation made on the identified predetermined area on the touch panel; a display image generating section that generates a printing image corresponding to the identified printing setting and updates the printing image displayed on the display section; and a printing information generating section that generates a piece of information for instructing the printing according to the identified printing setting.
