<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce possibility of a breakage of a glass substrate and a housing when a vibration or an impact is received. <P>SOLUTION: An X-ray image detector 30 comprises a supported component group 22, a metal housing 26, and support columns 24. The supported component group 22 includes: an X-ray detecting panel 31 which is provided with a glass substrate 11, detects an X-ray and converts it to an electric signal; and an X-ray shielding plate 18 which is arranged on the side opposite to the X-ray incident surface of the X-ray detecting panel 31. The housing 26 is provided with a bottom plate 40 in which mounting holes 25 are provided for fixing it to an external device, and houses the supported component group 22. The support columns 24 extend between the supported component group 22 and the bottom plate 40 of the housing 26, and are fixed to them.
