<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continuously monitor atmospheric gas in a reactor containment vessel even during discharging of drain water. <P>SOLUTION: An atmosphere monitor for a reactor containment vessel includes: a sampling pipe 2 which samples atmospheric gas in a reactor containment vessel 1; at least one gas concentration detectors 11, 12 connected to the sampling pipe 2; a drain water discharge system comprising drain pipes 55a, 55b storing the drain water discharged from the sampling pipe 2, liquid level detectors 56a, 56b for the drain pipes, and drain water discharge valves 57a, 57b in the drain pipes 55a, 55b; and an arithmetic control part which controls opening/closing valves and the drain water discharge valves on the basis of liquid level signals, and performs correction operation on gas concentrations detected by the gas concentration detectors. A plurality of drain water discharge systems are provided, and the arithmetic control part performs switching control over the opening/closing valves 60a, 60b and drain discharge valves 57a, 57b of each drain water discharge system on the basis of the water-level signals. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
