<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas appliance which precisely judges occurrence of an earthquake in an area where the gas appliance is installed or in its surrounding area and prevents a use from resuming operation when the earthquake occurs. <P>SOLUTION: A gas appliance 1 includes a gas burning part 12, a gas supply pipe 50 for supplying the gas to the gas burning part 12, and an on-off valve 13 arranged in the gas supply pipe 50. Further, in the gas appliance 1, there included are: seismoscope 15 for detecting vibration of the gas appliance 1, a receiving part 14 for receiving an earthquake emergency report; and a control part 16 for activating the operation inhibition state where the on-off valve 13 is not opened by ordinary operation for use when the vibration is detected by the seismoscope 15 or the earthquake emergency report is received by the receiving part 14 (S4), and for activating interlock unable to release the operation inhibition state by the release operation by the user (S8) when both the vibration detection by the seismoscope 15 and reception of the earthquake emergency report by the receiving part 14 are recognized in a definite period of time (S6, S7). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
