<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fire protection device with a simple structure which is provided in a door and has high sensitivity to heat. <P>SOLUTION: A fire protection device for a door includes a lock 5 with a dead bolt 3, a shaft member 9 connected to the lock 5, and a coil spring 11 passed through the shaft member 9. As the lock 5, various kinds of conventionally well-known locks can be used. The coil spring 11 is formed of shape memory alloy, and when being heated to a preset temperature or higher, both ends 11a,11b move in the circumferential direction to rotate the shaft member 9 and make the dead bolt 3 of the lock 5 project for locking. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
