<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heater structure capable of improving heating efficiency and obtaining sufficient strength. <P>SOLUTION: The heater structure that can be used for a secondary air supply device of an internal combustion engine comprises an air pump inhaling and exhaling outside air, and a heating device provided to the air pump and heating the air pump. The heating device comprises a PTC (Positive Temperature Coefficient) heating element having a pair of electrode layers, a first electrode terminal, a second electrode terminal, a heating unit made of a box-shaped insulation case opened on one face, and a mold. An opening face of the insulation case is a face contacting the air pump, and a protective sheet is arranged on the face contacting the air pump. A sum of thickness of the mold on the face contacting the air pump and thickness of the protective sheet in the heating device is thinner than thickness of the mold on the face opposed to the face contacting the air pump. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
