The invention relates to a component for high-temperature applications, to a method for the production thereof, and to the use thereof. To this end, electrical conductivity and a catalytic effect, and at the same time chemical and thermal resistance, are to be achievable under various conditions and also at temperatures above 700ºC. The component according to the invention consists of a body that is made of Ce1-x-yLnxMey02. Ln is a rare earth metal and Me is a transition metal, wherein x = 0.01 to 0.25 and y = 0.05 to 0.2. Particles that are formed with transition metal and have a mean particle size in the range of 5 nm to 500 nm, preferably in the range of 10 nm to 300 nm, are present in a distributed arrangement on at least one surface. |
