<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an all-in-one sample preparation apparatus and method for effectively and efficiently implementing coupling and cleaning, buffer exchange and condensation, and/or, complete coupling, cleaning and elution, buffer exchange and condensation within a single device without requiring to pipet-transfer between devices a valuable sample, in particular, a sample with a sample size of about 11 mL at a maximum. <P>SOLUTION: An all-in-one sample preparation apparatus comprises first and second films 12A and 12B disposed on a sidewall of a filtering device 50, respectively. A retention liquid chamber 14 which defines a dead stop volume is provided below the first and second films 12A and 12B. A collection distal end part 30, that is bow-shaped as a whole and protruded outward from periphery of a bottom of the apparatus, may be provided to position the dead stop volume at a central position of the filtering device and to substantially reduce variation of the dead stop volume during an angle/direction change of a centrifugal separator. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
