<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording method that provides an image having high scratch resistance of an obtained image. <P>SOLUTION: The image recording method includes: a step of applying ink having a pigment dispersed by an acid group to a recording medium; and a step of applying an acid liquid composition that destabilizes a dispersed state of the pigment in the ink to recording medium to at least partially overlap a region on which the ink is applied.
