<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve fail-safe performance at the time of abnormality occurrence by making it possible to diagnose the presence of current sensor abnormality and an abnormality content in an abnormality detection device and an abnormality detection method for a current sensor that detects current applied to a storage battery. <P>SOLUTION: An abnormality detection device, which detects abnormality in multiple current sensors 111 and 112 that are respectively provided at multiple series-connected battery blocks B1 and B2 and detect current applied to respectively corresponding battery blocks, comprises: first calculation means for calculating trajectory length that shows length of a trajectory, with respect to each detection value of the current sensors 111 and 112 which changes on a current axis in a predetermined period; second calculation means for calculating an average of the detection values of the current sensors 111 and 112 in the predetermined period; and abnormality diagnosis means for diagnosing the presence of abnormality in the current sensors 111 and 112 and an abnormality content. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
