<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice cooker which controls rice cooking in accordance with an amount of rice to be cooked, hardly causes hardening and/or browning even when the amount of rice to be cooked is small, and can completely cooks palatable cooked rice. <P>SOLUTION: The rice cooker includes a cooked rice amount-determining means for determining the amount of rice to be cooked, and a control means 8 for controlling drive of a heating coil 3 to perform a rice cooking process including a boiling-maintaining process, a dry-up process and a steaming process. When the cooked rice amount-determining means determines the amount of rice to be cooked in a pan-like vessel 5 to be small, the control means 8 sets a dry-up determination temperature T<SB POS="POST">2a</SB>in the dry-up process to be lower than a dry-up determination temperature T<SB POS="POST">2</SB>when a large amount of rice is cooked, sets time t<SB POS="POST">5a</SB>for the steaming process to be longer than time t<SB POS="POST">5</SB>for the steaming process when cooking a large amount of rice, and sets time t<SB POS="POST">1a</SB>for the boiling-maintaining process to have at least the same length as that of time t<SB POS="POST">1</SB>for the boiling-maintaining process when cooking a large amount of rice. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
