TANNING PROMOTER AND SELF-TANNING SUBSTANCES

The invention relates to use of special disaccharides and derivatives thereof as a self-tanning substance or as a tanning promoter for dihydroxyacetone or for a mixture of self-tanning substances containing dihydroxyacetone. The invention also relates to the use thereof for modulating colour tones which are achieved during tanning using dihydroxyacetone or using the mixture or preparation containing dihydroxyacetone. The invention also relates to the use thereof as a contrast reducing agent in a mixture or preparation containing at least dihydroxyacetone as a self-tanning substance. It is therefor possible to obtain a visibly improved skin colour by using said compounds.
