Furthermore, this mobile station (400) is configured to be capable of transmitting to the wireless communication network (10) a confirmation response indicating the reception state of the broadcast information while still in the standby state without transitioning to a communication state in which user data can be transmitted and received (e.g. the RRC_CONNECTED state or the CELL_DCH state). By this means, it is possible, for example, for the mobile station (400) to efficiently transmit confirmation responses regarding the broadcast information while avoiding an increased load to the wireless communication network (10).
