<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manual transmission for an HV-MT vehicle which has HV mode gear position and EV mode gear position and prevents temperature of a motor from increasing excessively. <P>SOLUTION: The manual transmission includes an input shaft Ai to which power is input from an internal combustion engine E/G via a crutch C/T, and an output shaft Ao that outputs power to a drive wheel. The transmission has a plurality of gear positions for EV mode (EV, EV-R), in which a power transmission system is not established between the output shaft Ai and the output shaft Ao (different from neutral), and a plurality of gear positions for HV mode (second to fifth positions), in which a power transmission system is established between the output shaft Ai and the output shaft Ao. The transmission also has a connection switching mechanism M2 for connecting/disconnecting an output shaft Am of a motor M/G and the output shaft Ao. When an EV mode gear position is selected, a connection state is constantly implemented.
