<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealed compressor having high efficiency, stable performance and high reliability. <P>SOLUTION: The sealed compressor includes: an electric element 111; a compression element 109; a sealed container 101; and a suction pipe 107. The compression element 109 includes a compression chamber 135, a piston 121 provided inside of the compression chamber 135, and a suction muffler 151 communicating with the inside of the sealed container 101 and the compression chamber 135. The suction muffler 151 is laid out such that an opening portion 159 at the sealed container 101 side faces an opening portion 107A of the sealed container 101 side in the suction pipe 107. The suction muffler 151 includes: a hood section 160 provided in the vicinity of the opening portion 159, formed to extend toward the inside of the sealed container 101, and configured to collect cooling medium gas discharged from the suction pipe 107; and an auxiliary hood 163 fastened to the hood section 160 and formed in a manner to increase a collection area of the hood section 160. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
