<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately and easily acquire an angle of rotation and coordinates of a center of rotation. <P>SOLUTION: The method includes: selecting (68, 84) in a first image an N number of different pixel groups G<SB POS="POST">i</SB>which are aligned along a common alignment axis and each associated with a corresponding ordinate x<SB POS="POST">i</SB>along this axis; computing (72) for each of the groups G<SB POS="POST">i</SB>a displacement y<SB POS="POST">i</SB>of the group G<SB POS="POST">i</SB>between the first image and a second image in a direction perpendicular to the alignment axis; and computing (86) the angle of rotation and the coordinates of the center of rotation on the basis of coefficients a and b of a linear regression line which minimizes the specified relation, where N is the number of groups G<SB POS="POST">i</SB>and greater than or equal to three. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
